The Web Team put in a manual fix for our hours page to make Exam Cram hours readable, but they forgot to remove it. The hours page currently is showing last week's hours. I put in a ticket and hopefully it will be resolved shortly. (The homepage hours are correct.)
The Web Team has updated the page and removed the Exam Cram fix. Hours are now displaying normally.
Display on the Atrium Level near the multipurpose room is cutting off part of the screen. It's intelligible, but doesn't look great. I need to edit the sylesheet for it.
This display has new computer now and screen is working.
Streaming videos are not working on campus. We are investigating the problem, and are in touch with IT. We'll update as we know more.
Videos were being double-secured which caused conflicts. This issue has been resolved. Ensemble Video will be discontinued the end of June 2018. Panopto is being phased in now. All library content has been added to Panopto and library catalog links being switched over.
Jenna, Jason, Dawn, Erin, and Samantha have all been updated in the staff directory with new locations and titles (if applicable). I've also updated various web pages that had their names on them, and I searched LibGuides but I may have missed something. Let me know if anything else needs to be updated.
EZproxy will be upgraded to the latest version Monday, April 29 starting at 8 am. Access on and off campus to library resources will be down for about 15 minutes during that time. EZproxy is the server that authenticates users to library resources. Since all links go through this server to determine is user is on campus or off, with the server down the links will not work.

Springshare has changed the way they calculate patron wait times for chat. From Springshare:
Yes, we did modify the way that wait time was calculated as part of our December 2017 release. Previously, the wait time was only being calculated if a chat was not picked up at all, or once messages were exchanged. That prevented wait times from being calculated for chats where, for example, patrons left before any messages were exchanged. To avoid that, we now calculate wait time based upon when a staff member clicks the Answer button to claim the chat.
This means that we can no longer calculate the actual wait time for chats, since after accepting a chat the staff member must also type a message to the patron. We have asked them to add the ability to see time until a message was sent. They will discuss it with the LibAnswers team and get back to us.

[8/25/17 @ 4:55 pm - Matthew] Syndetics cover images are loading over an insecure connection (HTTP) and Summon searches are directed to the insecure version of Summon (HTTP). I've submitted a ticket to have these addressed, but I suspect they may be seen as feature requests rather than bugs. In both cases, our journal finder page is loading over HTTPS, so users will get extra warnings from browsers for having the insecure elements present.

A contact from IT indicated that they are finally working on adding Macs, but have run into some difficulties with getting the login and logoff scripts tonwork properly.
[9/8/17 @ 6:16 pm - Matthew] The comouter availability map is innaccurate at Mary I (and possibly other locations). I suspect this is related to the recent reimaging of computers by IT. I'm working with Institutional Marketing to fix the issue.
[9/13/17 @ 3:43 pm - Matthew] Computers are not letting the system know when they log out. Logging in is being captured perfectly, but the system thinks that all computers are in use even after a user has logged off, because the message is not making it to the server.
Institutional Marketing is aware of the issue and is working on it with IT.
[10/2/17 @ 1:14 pm - Matthew] As of this morning, the computer availability map is not updating for either logins or log outs. This means that it is currently showing that every computer in the building is available. I have a ticket in to Institutional Marketing to find out what is going on and will update when I know more.

This tool was created and is maintained by IT, and we have reported the problem to them. You can direct users with this issue to the IT help desk and we'll continue to to monitor the issue.

[10/10/16 @ 10:07 am - Matthew] When reviewing transcripts and looking at the monthly statistics, it would be so great if the reporting dates remain the same when you toggle between the transcripts tab and the statistics tab. Every time you change between those tabs it reverts back to the current date, and I have to manually enter the date range again.

[10/10/16 @ 10:06 am - Matthew] When reviewing chat transcripts, you can filter by chat rating, which is super helpful. However, when you're in that tab, you can view the transcript but you can't email it to anyone. This is really annoying because that means that I need to go back to viewing all transcripts in order to be able to email myself a transcript with a 4-star or 1-star rating. It would be so great if they could add that "email" icon/feature when you're viewing the chat ratings/comments.

8/12/16 @ 11:55 am - Matthew] When running statistics for a guide, if you have a lot of assets or if you want to see the referring URLs for a guide over a period longer than 2 months, the server will time out before it returns your statistics. Springshare is aware of the issue and working on it, but in the meantime the work-around is to run your stats in 30-day increments.

No JS Database A-Z List
Since this would violate section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities act, we won't be using the public side of the Database A-Z list in LibGuides until this issue is resolved.
(k) A text-only page, with equivalent information or functionality, shall be provided to make a web site comply with the provisions of this part, when compliance cannot be accomplished in any other way. The content of the text-only page shall be updated whenever the primary page changes.
(l) When pages utilize scripting languages to display content, or to create interface elements, the information provided by the script shall be identified with functional text that can be read by assistive technology.
I have reported this to Springshare, and hope they fix this soon!

The Summon service will be available throughout the maintenance window, with searches and IEDL linking working as expected.
